Haiku cards

Oooh, here are our lovely haiku cards, all seven of them. They are available exclusively at Mosaic in Harbour Street, Whitstable. Mosaic is simply the most delicious shop, so we’re very happy to have found a home there among the various gorgeosities. I, Marnie, started writing haikus after reading the book The Spirit of Silence – Making Space For Creativity by John Lane, which I was reading while researching a project on Wabi Sabi. Inside the book I read my first haiku -

An old pond

A frog leaps in,

The sound of water.

Isn’t that charming? And so evocative. It’s by Basho, a famous Japanese haiku writer. Here’s more on haikus. Enjoy the cards, we loved creating them . . .
